Customs seizes P2.6M worth of fake cigarettes in Isabela

The Bureau of Customs, through its Enforcement and Security Service and Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service in Santiago, Isabela, confiscated on Friday fake cigarettes with an estimated value of P2.6 million.

According to the BOC, its Quick Reaction Team and the CIIS raided a warehouse in Santiago, where an abandoned truck was discovered to contain 86 master cases of fake Marvel and Mighty cigarettes.

An inventory is ongoing to determine the exact volume of the seized cigarettes, the BOC said. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/LBG, GMA News
