Candaba, Pampanga Mayor Rene Maglanque tests positive for COVID-19

Candaba, Pampanga Mayor Rene Maglanque on Sunday confirmed he has contracted coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In a Facebook post, Maglanque said he underwent swab testing on Thursday morning after exhibiting symptoms such as fever, coughing, and diarrhea on Monday night.

He received the positive results on Saturday afternoon.

Currently, he said he is not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 anymore, but was still advised by the MHO to undergo home quarantine until he received negative test results.

Maglanque added contact tracing in the municipality is ongoing.

Further, he urged those who had close contact with him to undergo self-quarantine and report to the MHO if they are experiencing symptoms of the illness.

Maglanque also assured his constituents that he is in a stable condition. —LBG, GMA News
