Chinese nationals attempt to disembark from yacht in Puerto Princesa


A yacht from China with 10 Chinese nationals onboard attempted to unload its passengers in Puerto Princesa, Palawan on Monday night without coordinating with authorities.

According to Junfred Calamba's report on "Super Radyo Palawan," the yacht docked past 8 p.m. in Barangay Conception

Barangay Captain Job Francisco said that one of the passengers had made it to shore before village officials arrived. The rest of the passengers were prevented from leaving the yacht.

Francisco said that the Chinese national who made it ashore owned property in the area and that a local contact may have picked him up.

The barangay identified the Chinese nationals as:

  • Luo Xiao Giang, 34;
  • Xu Yuan Sen, 21;
  • Chen Zhen Gi, 65;
  • Zhou Wei, 35;
  • Chang Liu Ging,27;
  • Zhao Jian Hui, 37;
  • Lien Nua Wei, 27;
  • Zhao Zhou Yin, 37;
  • Luo Shui Sheng, 35; and
  • Dengkang Zhang, 44.


They are currently at the Philippine Coast Guard Sub-station Honda Bay. — DVM, GMA News
