21 health workers in South Cotabato positive for COVID-19

A total of 21 health workers in South Cotabato, including two doctors, have tested positive for COVID-19, a report on GMA News' Unang Balita said Friday.

A report by Corrine Catibayan said that according to the South Cotabato Provincial Health Office, those infected were:

• 11 from Koronadal City Health Office
• 10 from South Cotabato Provincial Hospital; and
• 1 from Allah Valley Medical Center

The report said 150 health workers are also under quarantine which hampers the operations of several health centers.

The Philippines has so far recorded a total of 276,289 COVID-19 cases as of Thursday. 

The total number of recoveries rose to 208,096 while the death toll climbed to 4,785. — RSJ, GMA News
