Several groups raise funds to buy 150 tablets for Aetas

The Peace Kamp, the Bangketa Eskwela Foundation, and other non-government organizations have been collecting funds since early September to buy 150 tablets for the Aeta community in Porac, Pampanga.

According to Nico Waje’s report on “Stand for Truth,” the objective of the groups is to ensure that no Aeta will be left behind as the country transitions to blended learning amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

“Hindi nating papayagan na sila ay maging beggars on their own land.

The Peace Kamp also set up a learning center where online classes may be held for the children. It is the only place in the area with a strong internet connection.

The organization and the Bangketa Eskwela Foundation also created modules for a separate online learning program to give the students, even older ones, additional lessons.

Though the program has started, they only have 10 tablets, so that three students to share one.
