10-month-old baby suspected of having COVID-19 dies in Basilan

A 10-month-old baby who was considered a suspected case of COVID-19 passed away in Isabela, Basilan.

According to a report on “24 Oras News Alert” on Monday, the local disaster risk reduction and management office said the infant was admitted to the hospital on Friday due to moderate dehydration.

The infant is suspected to have a congenital heart disease.

As of September 17, the Isabela City Health Office was able to swab a total of 1,077 individuals. Of the number, 109 turned out to be positive.

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 hit 290,190 on Monday with 230,233 recoveries and 4,999 deaths. -NB, GMA News
