Ipo Dam conducts spilling operation, issues flood warning to nearby areas

The water level at Ipo Dam has reached 101.9 meters and is expected to rise as heavy rains are expected as Typhoon Ulysses continues to batter many parts of Luzon on Thursday.

Ipo Dam management will continue to conduct spilling operation at 3 a.m. with increase total discharge of 1,071.20 centimeters.

The residents of low-lying areas including those living near the river bank of Angat River, including Norzagaray, Angat, San Rafael, Bustos, Baliuag, Pulilan, Plaridel, and Hagonoy are advised to be on alert for floodings or flash floods. -- BAP, GMA News
