Power still out in Albay after Ulysses’ onslaught, says PDRRMO

Electricity is still out in Albay after Typhoon Ulysses caused flooding in parts of the province, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) said Thursday afternoon.

Interviewed on GMA News TV’s “QRT,” Albay PDRRMO’s Cedric Daep said Libon and Polangui bore the brunt of heavy rains brought by Ulysses.

Sa first district ng Albay covering five municipalities and one city, wala pa ring komunikasyon,” Daep added.

Some 100,000 Albay residents were also evacuated, according to initial reports received by the PDRRMO.

PAGASA said Ulysses will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Friday morning. — BM, GMA News
