Suspect who hid marijuana in stuffed toys for delivery arrested

Authorities on Saturday arrested the suspect who allegedly left packages of stuffed toys, hair products, and food supplements that contained marijuana with a courier service.

According to John Consulta’s report on “24 Oras Weekend,” the Laguna Provincial Intelligence Unit, PDEA-Laguna, and San Pedro Police arrested Francisco Lopez during a buy-bust operation in San Pedro, Laguna.

The police retrieved two sealed packages and additional marijuana worth P156,000 and weighing more than 1 kilo.

“Sinubaybayan namin sa tulong din po nung courier service para ma track natin ‘yung tao na nag papadala,” Police Lieutenant Colonel Jesus Lintag, the San Pedro Police chief, said.

The San Pedro Police earlier said that they had arrested two courier service riders during police operations in General Santos and Caloocan after they were found with stuffed toys that contained marijuana. — Joahna Lei Casilao/DVM, GMA News
