Cavite LGU allows minors in malls

Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla on Thursday announced that minors, ages 10 and above, are allowed to go to malls in the province, provided they are accompanied by their guardians.

"Ang mga accompanied minors na puwede pumasok ng mall must be 10 and above," Remulla said in a Facebook post.

Likewise, the governor said senior citizens are not required to be accompanied when they visit malls.

On Wednesday, the Department of Health insisted that children aged 14-years-old and below, as well as the elderly, aged 66 and above, should not be allowed to go outside as the risk of COVID-19 is still there.

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año, for his part, said there is no final decision yet regarding allowing minors inside malls, at least in the National Capital Region as mayors are still seeking advice from health experts first before coming up with a decision. —LBG, GMA News
