Tarlac cops seize P4.6-M in marijuana, nab 3 suspects


The Tarlac Police nabbed three suspects and seized P4.6 million worth of marijuana during a Sunday operation.

The Police Regional Office 3 identified the suspects as 33-year-old Cornelio Chumil-Ang, 24-year-old Jomar Pallar, and 40-year-old Marcelino Caraowa, all residents of the Mountain Province.

Aside from the illegal drugs, authorities seized P68,000 in boodle money, cell phones used in the transaction, a van and mini-dump truck. The were vehicles were used to transport the marijuana.

PNP chief Gen. Debold Sinas alleged that the suspects' illegal drugs operation covered the provinces of Tarlac, Pangasinan, and Mountain Province.

The suspects and confiscated items were brought to Camp Gen. Francisco S. Macabulos in Tarlac City for the filing of appropriate cases. — DVM, GMA News
