Zamboanga City placed under MECQ, Tacloban City moved to MGCQ —Palace

The government’s COVID-19 task force revised the community quarantine classifications for the cities of Zamboanga and Tacloban this month, Malacañang said Friday.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said Zamboanga City would be under modified enhanced community quarantine until May 14.

Tacloban City, meanwhile, was placed under the modified general community quarantine—the least stringent form of lockdown—until May 31.

Roque said the decision of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) stemmed from the appeals of local government bodies in Zamboanga and Tacloban.—AOL, GMA News
