18 minors arrested in Laguna over COVID-19 protocol violations

Eighteen minors were given citations in Pagsanjan, Laguna on Saturday for violating health and safety protocols amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

According to John Consulta’s report on “24 Oras Weekend,” the minors were caught playing billiards without face masks and without following social distancing measures.

(This is very dangerous because they can infect and be infected with COVID. They were issued citations and were scolded for the violation.)

Meanwhile, more than 100 individuals were arrested on Friday in Biñan after they were caught not wearing or improperly wearing their face masks and face shields.

Under the city ordinance, violators may be fined P5,000 and imprisoned for two months.

(We advised the chiefs of police of various police stations in Laguna to intensify their efforts against health protocol violators, based on the directive of the President.)
