Batanes logs 12th COVID-19 case

The province of Batanes has recorded its 12th COVID-19 case -- a 47-year-old woman who tested positive after an RT-PCR test on Tuesday.

In a statement, the Batanes provincial government said the woman is a resident of Itbayat, who came from Tuguegarao City and arrived in Batanes on June 21 on board a Sky Pasada flight.

The woman was tagged as patient B-012, who is experiencing cough and fever and is being observed at the Batanes Resort Isolation Facility.

All her close contacts, including the passengers who were with the woman in the flight, were isolated in quarantine facilities, the Batanes LGU said.

They will undergo RT-PCR testing on Monday, June 28.

Patient B-11 meanwhile is still being isolated and observed at the Batanes General Hospital COVID Isolation Unit, who is now under stable condition.
