P331-M 'shabu' seized in Cavite, 2 suspects arrested —PDEA

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives seized P331 million worth of suspected shabu in an anti-illegal drug operation in Cavite on Thursday night.

Bam Alegre on “Unang Balita” reported on Friday that 48 kilos of suspected shabu worth P331 million were seized from the house of a couple in Imus City.

According to the report, the load of contraband was placed in tea packs inside boxes.

The couple claimed they did know the items in the boxes that were just left to their care by two contacts engaged in vehicle rental service.

But the PDEA said that the couple has been under surveillance for several months.

Based on the information gathered by PDEA agents, the items were set to be shipped to Mindanao area. —LBG, GMA News
