Residents save van from falling into raging floodwater in Cebu

Some 20 residents helped save a tourist van from falling into raging floodwater of a rain-swollen river in Cebu City, Vonne Aquino reported Saturday on “24 Oras Weekend.”

According to the video uploader, it was about 1 p.m. when heavy rain poured in the area, causing the river to swell and the rampaging floodwater slowly ate away the road lane where the van was parked.

Residents were able to pull the van back onto safe ground. No one was reported injured in the incident.

Meanwhile, knee-deep floodwater was experienced in other parts of the city, the report added. —LBG, GMA News
