Worldwide coronavirus cases reach 36.93M, death toll at 1,067,766 —Reuters tally

More than 36.93 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 1,067,766 have died, according to a Reuters tally.
   
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.

The US leads with 7,691,846 cases and 213,778 deaths.

It was followed by:

• India: 6,979,423 cases and 107,416 deaths
• Brazil: 5,055,888 cases and 149,639 deaths
• Russia: 1,285,084 cases and 22,454 deaths
• Colombia: 894,300 cases and 27,495 deaths

The Philippines has recorded 336,926 cases and 6,238 deaths as of Saturday. —Reuters/KG, GMA News
