Worldwide coronavirus cases cross 57.17M, death toll at 1,365,111 —Reuters tally

More than 57.17 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 1,365,111 have died, according to a Reuters tally.
   
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.

The US leads with 11,737,129 cases and 252,493 deaths.

It was followed by:

• India: 9,004,365 cases and 132,162 deaths
• Brazil: 5,981,767 cases and 168,061 deaths
• France: 2,086,288 cases and 47,127 deaths
• Russia: 2,039,926 cases and 35,311 deaths

The Philippines has recorded 415,067 cases and 8,025 deaths as of Friday. —Reuters
