Halloween series 'Elemento' reruns on GMA News TV

Viewers who missed watching ELEMENTO, the Halloween series which brought to life creatures from Philippine myths and legends, can still catch its reruns on GMA News TV this November 7, 14, 21 and 28 at 10:15 PM after State of the Nation with Jessica Soho.
Shot as mini feature films by acclaimed horror director Topel Lee, the four-part series tells the fascinating stories of four elementals and their unique relationships with human children: a manananggal in the air, a kapre representing the earth, a river fairy protecting the water and a black dwarf with the power of fire.
November 7: “SI ESPERANZA, ANG REBELDENG MANANANGGAL”
starring Glaiza de Castro as Esperanza

and child actors Carl Acosta and Nourish Icon Lapuz

Esperanza (played by Glaiza de Castro), a pediatrician and devoted mother of two, harbors a deep, dark secret. At the stroke of midnight, she transforms … into a manananggal! But instead of eating fetuses like the rest of her family, she flies through the skies rescuing abused children. Chaos begins when her evil sister Lucila comes looking for her in the big city and discovers how much Esperanza has changed.
November 14: “ANG MASAYAHING KAPRE NA SI ITIM”

The town of San Benito has always been protected by their resident kapre Itim, guardian of the mango trees who have saved townsfolk from countless floods. But when a young developer decides to cut down the trees for his new subdivision, Itim is forced to fight back … with the help of his young friends.
November 21: “PANDORA, ANG DIWATA NG WAWA”

A first born male dies in the Wawa River every month … supposedly drowned by the mysterious and beautiful Wawa river fairy Pandora (played by Solenn Heussaff). Elemento tells the story of Pandora’s revenge against men and the love that finally puts an end to her curse.
November 28: “APOY NI BAMBOLITO”
starring Rochelle Pangilinan
with Pekto as the black dwarf Bambolito

Strange things start to happen when an Aeta mother (played by Rochelle Pangilinan) comes to work as the cook in a very old house, bringing her young daughter Anya with her. The house’s resident black dwarf befriends the dark-skinned child … and gives her the power of fire. But Anya finds this gift very, very difficult to control.
