Do millennials have presence in Philippine politics?

With millennials them making up nearly 27 percent of the Philippine population, Filipino millennials are the largest pool of eligible voters in the next few years.

But do they have a presence in today's politics?

In an episode of "Stand For Truth," GMA resident analyst Richard Heydarian finds out.

Millennials are the ones born between 1981 to 1996, so their current age ranges from 23 to 38.

President Rodrigo Duterte, being 74 years old, falls in the Silent Generation.

Meanwhile, Vice President Leni Robredo, who is 54 years old, is in Generation X.

This is understandable because under the Constitution, the minimum required age to be president or vice president is 40 years old.

However, in Congress, where the minimum age qualification is 25 years old, there are only 19 millennials — all of them in the House of Representatives.

There is not a single millennial in the Senate.

Furthermore, 15 out of the 19 millennials in Congress belong to political dynasties.
