KSA-based Pinoy choir wins int'l competition

An all-male Filipino choir has bagged gold medal in an international choral festival held in Nevada in the United States, according to a report on GMA News' "24 Oras" last weekend. Prime Note Ensemble, composed of Filipino workers in Saudi Arabia, beat 17 other choirs during the American International Choral Festival, the report said.
It said the group performed Beny Castillon's "Kruhay," a Filipino folk song, and Lion King's "Circle of Life." Their rendition of "Circle of Life" brought a standing ovation and a resounding applause from the audience, according to the report. Prime Note Ensemble is led by its choirmaster Novem Cabios and founder Medard Obida. - VVP, GMA News
