PHL joins Asian food festival in China with adobo and pandesal


Chicken adobo and pandesal were the Philippines' contribution to an Asian food and culture festival in Guangzhou, China last November 22.   The Asian Food and Culture Festival 2011 was held at the residence of the Indonesian Consul General in Luhu Parkview, Lujing Road in Guangzhou.   "Chicken adobo and pandesal were the Consulate's dish contribution to the festival.  Madame Vivian Chiu Tejada, along with Acting Cultural Officer Sheila Brioso, represented the Consulate," the Department of Foreign Affairs said. Some 100 guests including lady officials and spouses of officials from the municipal government, colleagues from the Consular Corps, and friends from various sector graced the event.   The Spouses of Asian Consuls General (SACG) in Guangzhou jointly organized the Asian Food and Culture Festival 2011.   The organizers of the event included spouses of the Consuls General from Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Israel, Malaysia, India, Russian, Singapore, Pakistan, Kuwait, and the Philippines. - RJMD/VVP, GMA News
