Search on for outstanding Pinays in UAE

A United Arab Emirates-based (UAE) magazine is searching for exceptional Filipino women leaders and trailblazers who have become an inspiration and role model.   The "Illustrado" magazine urged the Filipino community to nominate women leaders adn achievers for the "Women of Substance 2012 Awards," Khaleej Times reported. Nominations may be made via email until Dec. 31 at admin@illustrado.net, enumerating the reasons why their nominee should be considered.   Those making nominations should add two non-related personal references, as well as a picture of the nominee and complete contact details.   The honorees will be presented at the "Illustrado’s Women Of Substance" event in March 2012 and featured in the magazine's March 2012 issue.   Now on its fifth year, "Women of Substance" is an annual gathering spearheaded by "Illustrado."   Magazine publisher and editor-in-chief Lalaine Chu-Benitez said the award celebrates female empowerment. - VVP, GMA News
