Pinay maid in UAE throws own baby from 9th floor garbage chute

A Filipina maid working illegally in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) threw her day-old baby from a garbage chute on the ninth floor of a building in Sharjah on Tuesday.   According to a report of the news site Khaleej Times on Wednesday, the baby miraculously survived the fall and landed in a garbage container.   The report said a watchman discovered the baby inside a garbage bag at around 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday and notified police.   Paramedics rushed the baby to a hospital where his life was saved, the report added. After a three-hour search, a forensic team determined that the baby was thrown from the ninth floor of the apartment.   Its investigation also showed that the baby’s mother, a 26-year-old Filipina maid, was the one who threw the baby into the garbage chute.   Khaleej Times said the maid was discovered to be working illegally with an Asian family.   The Filipina maid was found bleeding as she had just given birth to the baby in the bathroom at around 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, while her employer's family was sleeping.  After giving birth, the maid told the police that she put the baby boy in a plastic bag and threw him down the chute.   She also later confessed that an Asian man, who was not in the UAE, got her pregnant.
