Undergrad midwife helps Pinay give birth in plane from Saudi Arabia

An undergraduate midwife helped a Filipina worker give birth to a healthy boy in a Manila-bound plane from Saudi Arabia earlier this week, a report of radio dzBB said on Friday.

 

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) said Norwina Matampay, was brought along with her baby to the San Juan de Dios Hospital in Pasay City shortly after the plane landed at the NAIA Terminal 1.

 

On radio dzBB, NAIA medical officer Dr. Cesar Ocampo said Joan Barcelon, an undergraduate midwife, helped the Matampay give birth on Wednesday. - VVP, GMA News
