Antipolo high school student wins Intl Memory Championship
Grace Mendoza, a 15-year-old student from Antipolo, Rizal, is looking to dominate the World Memory Championship after bagging a gold medal in the Thailand International Open Memory Championship.
Mendoza, a student of the Lady of Rosary School in Antipolo, will join the Philippine Memory Team in competing during the 2012 World Memory Championships at the Lilian Baylis Technology School in London in the United Kingdom this December.
Mendoza recently won a gold medal for binary digits event in the Thailand memory tilt held at the Kasetsart University. About 260 mental athletes from 40 countries joined the event.
Mendoza, who hopes to be a lawyer someday, is a consistent honor student and is currently the president of her school’s student council. - Rouchelle Dinglasan, VVP, GMA News
