Film on singer Arnel Pineda's life to be released in New York March 8

Don’t miss the New York screening of Ramona Diaz’s “Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey,” the critically acclaimed documentary film that follows the real life rock ‘n’ roll fairy tale of Filipino singer Arnel Pineda, who was plucked from YouTube to become the front man for iconic American rock band Journey. Cinedigm/Docurama Films will release the film on March 8 (Friday) in New York City and Los Angeles, with other key cities to follow. It will be available on VOD on March 9. In this Cinderella story for the ages, Arnel, having overcome a lifetime’s worth of hardships in Olongapo City, must now navigate the immense pressures of replacing a legendary singer and leading a world-renowned band on their most extensive world tour in years. Besides Arnel, the 105-minute docu features original Journey members Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Ross Valory and Deen Castronovo. The docu was an official selection of the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival, San Francisco Film Festival, Savannah Film Festival & San Diego Asian Film Festival. - Filipino Reporter
