Legarda, Cayetano lead OAV in Hong Kong, Singapore
Senatorial re-electionists Loren Legarda and Alan Peter Cayetano edged Grace Poe, who is leading in both partial official and unofficial counts in the Philippines, in overseas absentee voting (OAV) conducted in Singapore and Hong Kong. According to votes canvassed by the Commission on Elections en banc sitting as the National Board of Canvassers and arranged by GMA News Online from highest to lowest, Legarda ranked first in OAV conducted in Hong Kong, getting 18,177 votes. She also ranked first in Singapore with 5,181 votes. Cayetano, meanwhile, follows Legarda in both countries, with 15,392 votes in Hong Kong and 4,831 in Singapore. Legarda and Cayetano, who allegedly have a rift between them, belong to the "Magic 12" in both partial official and unofficial tallies. According to the latest partial and official tally, Legarda is at second place with 6,405,625 votes, while Cayetano follows with 5,989,369. The current leader in both partial official and unofficial counts, Grace Poe only ranked third in Hong Kong with 14,596 votes, and got ninth place in Singapore with 4,018 votes to her name.
