Pinoy male prostitute in UAE who posted services online gets one year in jail

A male Filipino prostitute in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who posted his services and sexual preferences online will spend a year in jail.

The Dubai Appeal Court upheld the one-year jail term for the 30-year-old Filipino salesman, who listed his sexual preferences on the Internet, Gulf News reported Monday.

The judge also affirmed the six-month jail term on a 39-year-old Filipino waiter for having consensual sodomy with the salesman, the report said.

The court also ordered the two defendants "deported following the completion of their punishments.”

Sunday’s judgement is subject to appeal within 30 days.

Gigolo

Earlier, the salesman was found guilty of profiling himself as a gigolo on the Internet.

Court records showed a UAE cyber-policeman found the salesman made a personal account profiling himself as a prostitute who was ready to render unusual sexual services to male clients.

“In his profile, he listed the type of men that he preferred and listed the services that he was capable of rendering to clients for Dh400. He posted his indecent photos and a mobile number. He nicknamed himself Jon Sedrick," the cyberpoliceman said.

The police formed an undercover team and set up a sting operation to arrest the salesman, with an undercover policeman posing as a male client.

Once the salesman walked into the room, the police arrested him. The cyberpoliceman said the salesman "confessed that he offered full body massage for men only.”

The salesman was initially convicted of encouraging the public to indulge in paid sex with him, and the waiter of having sex with the salesman.

While the salesman pleaded not guilty, he admitted having sex with the waiter. - VVP, GMA News
