DFA consular ops at Robinsons Galleria to resume Nov. 4
The central office of the Department of Foreign Affairs-National Capital Region located in Robinsons Galleria will resume its consular services operations on Monday, Nov. 4.
DFA NCR-Central suspended its consular services due to the fire incident that struck Robinsons Galleria on Tuesday night.
In an advisory, the DFA said passport applicants who have scheduled appointments at DFA NCR-Central may still proceed and apply for their passport at DFA NCR-East (SM Megamall) and DFA Aseana (Parañaque City).
"Applicants need only to show proof of appointment scheduled today to be accommodated,"Â it said.
The mall blaze reached the fifth alarm before dawn last Wednesday. It took five hours before it was put out due to the thick smoke that prevented firefighters from entering the area affected by the fire.
Meanwhile, applicants who have passports for release on October 30 and 31 at DFA NCR-Central are advised to visit Robinsons Galleria to claim their passport, the DFA said. They are requested to bring their official receipt to claim their passport. — Rie Takumi/KBK, GMA News
