Special Ad Feature:Jollibee connects Pinoys abroad with their loved ones this Christmas
While everyone happily counts the days to Christmas, Jollibee reminds us that more than 10 percent of the population will be spending it with sadness because they have absent family members who have to work abroad.
Jollibee also makes us cherish more the Filipino value of bonding with family members despite the distance.
Many of us held back tears when we saw Jollibee’s Christmas television commercial titled “Noel” last November.
The commercial showed the two sides of Christmas: An overseas Filipino worker looking forward to a happy Christmas reunion with his family after two years in Qatar; and his taxi driver who was terribly missing his son who has been abroad for five years.
This December, Jollibee came up with another heart-tugging commercial about a taxi driver and the OFW daughter in Dubai whom he has been aching to see for two years.
Many Filipinos can relate to these situations of being surrounded by happy Christmas scenes that only heighten one’s longing for an absent loved one. If only their family members could stay home longer or never leave at all.
Jollibee seeks to bridge the miles especially in this holiest and warmest of seasons by giving OFWs and their families a special gift and memorable gift.
What surprise could this be? Watch the heart-warming videos to find out.
