Filipino teen dies after 13-story fall in UAE

A Filipino teenager was killed Wednesday after falling 13 floors from the balcony of his apartment in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, a UAE news site reported Thursday.

 

Gulf News quoted a Sharjah police official as saying the boy fell from the Abdul Aziz Al Majid building in Al Nahda on Wednesday afternoon.

 

The report did not immediately name the boy but said he was 14 years old.

 

It added the boy was killed instantly.

 

The Gulf News report also quoted a spokesman at Buhariah police station as saying they were notified a boy was lying on the ground near Abdul Aziz Al Majid building in Al Nahda.

 

Police and ambulance teams rushed to the scene but it was too late to save the boy. — ELR, GMA News
