PHL designer Len Nepomuceno’s creations showcased in Thailand mall fair

The works of premier Filipina fashion designer Len Nepomuceno impressed Filipinos and Thais alike at a recent fashion show held at one of Bangkok's biggest shopping centers.

Dubbed “Sanook Philippines: Philippine Fair 2014,” the exhibit at the CentralWorld mall was a success last June 14, the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok said Monday.

"Mall-goers stopped to watch the show as models paraded Ms. Nepomuceno’s creations, with the exhibit area for Philippine costumes as their runway," it said.

CentralWorld, touted as the largest lifestyle shopping destination in Bangkok, features over 300,000 square meters of shopping center space.

The Fashion Show featured a collection of 12 designs by Nepomuceno, "with the piña fabric as the main material for the apparel," the embassy said.

The embassy said the show was "very well received" by guests invited by the Embassy, including:

- members of the International Women’s Club
- members of Thai society
- officials of CentralWorld Mall
- media
- the Filipino community
