Taiwan plastics firm needs 120 male factory workers


Able-bodied Filipino workers seeking jobs abroad may want to apply for work at a plastics company in Taiwan, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration said Monday.

In a post on its Facebook account, the POEA indicated that 120 factory workers are needed for Nanya Plastics Corp. under Taiwan's special hiring program.

The POEA, citing the recruitment specification form (140024), said the qualifications include:

- male, 20 to 50 years old
- physically and medically fit to work and with good eyesight
- high school or college graduate of any four-year course
- good command of oral and written English
- willing to work overtime, with shifts
- passport should be valid for more than six months
- SSS ID

According to the POEA, qualified applicants may register online at www.poea.gov.ph or www.eregister.poea.gov.ph.

But they should also submit the following documents in a folder, with the heading "Nan Ya Plastics Corp./Taiwan" at the POEA office in Mandaluyong City:

- detailed resume with job description
- school credentials
- employment certificates
- passport copy
- two 2x2 recent photos.

The POEA said applicants should present their original documents for authentication of written information before forwarding the resume to the employer.

It said applicants have until July 10 to submit these requirements. —Joel Locsin/KBK, GMA News
