‘X Factor Australia’ winner Marlisa Punzalan to serenade Pinoys on Valentine's

Filipino-Australian Marlisa Punzalan will make her Philippine debut as a singer in a series of concerts in Metro Manila this month.

The "X Factor Australia" winner will perform at the Lucky Chinatown Atrium at 2 p.m. and Eastwood Mall Open Park at 7 p.m. on February 13.

On Valentine's Day, the 15-year-old singer will perform at the Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill at 7 p.m. before capping off her tour with a media meet-and-greet on February 15.

Following her victory in "X Factor Australia" last October, Marlisa has come out with a single, “Stand By You,” which debuted at number 2 on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) charts three days after its release, just behind Ed Sheeran's “Thinking Out Loud.”

Her self-titled album, meanwhile, debuted at number 6 on the ARIA.

A Philippine tour was on Marlisa's to-do list since November, when she promised to see her Filipino fans and relatives in Samal, Bataan. —Rie Takumi/KBK, GMA News
