68-year-old Pinay crowned Mrs. Classic Asia International
At 68, a Filipino woman has just proven that it was not too late to win an international beauty title.
Ludivina Lelim Nacionales bested 31 candidates from different countries to bag the Classic Mrs. Asia International 2015 title in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last week, GMA News' 24 Oras reported Friday.
"I think the judges like me because of how I carry myself," Nacionales said.
Before the coronation night, Nacionales was worried she would not win the title since she did not get any of the 20 special awards during the pageant's Glitter Night.
But, in the end, the beauty queen received four awards during the finale including the Classic Mrs. Asia International crown.
"I'm proud to represent our country," she said.
Nacionales is a single mom who tried to find greener pastures in United States where she earned money through selling cooked meals to fellow Filipinos.
But her life took a better turn when she finally saved enough money to put up her own board and care home for the elderly, which became her inspiration to join the pageant and mission in life. -Trisha Macas/NB, GMA News
