LA Lakers’ Jordan Clarkson jams with fellow Fil-Ams in music video
Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Jordan Clarkson joined several Filipino-Americans in rapping and jamming for a music video involving fellow Filipino-American Apl.De.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas.
In Chino Trinidad's Time Out segment on 24 Oras on Tuesday, Apl.De.Ap said he first met Clarkson in a shoot for one of the Filipino-American artists signed to his record label.
"I feel proud to know another Filipino playing for the Lakers," he said. "I've met Jordan about a few weeks ago, he did a cameo for one of my artists, Jessica Reynoso, appearing as a DJ for a music video."
Fans of the LA Lakers have high expectations for Clarkson, who is now entering his fourth year in the basketball team.
"[I will] keep representing LA as well as the Filipino community, as well as the Lakers. We used to run this city. We have the Clippers the first day of the year, we're gonna win that win for you all," Clarkson said.
His grandmother, Marcelina Tullao-Kinsover, explained that Clarkson's mother and father met at the US Air Force at the former Clark Air Base.
"Jordan's mother, Annette, she's in Air Force too, met Jordan's dad in the Air Force, Michael Clarkson," Kinsover, a native of Lubao, Pampanga, said. —Rie Takumi/KBK, GMA News
