DFA opens consular office in Antipolo
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has opened a consular office in Antipolo City in Rizal province.
The new office — the DFA's 31st consular office — was inaugurated last November 21 at SM Cherry Foodarama.
"The new site is one of the six offices in partnership with SM Supermalls," the DFA said.
According to Office of Consular Affairs Assistant Secretary Neil Frank R. Ferrer, who led the inauguration, the opening is in line with the DFA'S thrust to bring its services closer to the public.
The new consular office will serve the people in the CALABARZON region, and is seen to alleviate the demand in other consular offices in nearby areas.
The new office has started accepting passport applicants through its appointment system starting November 12. —KBK, GMA News
