Pinay among 17 dead in Dubai bus crash

A Filipino woman was among 17 people who were killed in a bus crash in the
United Arab Emirates.

According to a report on State of the Nation with Jessica Soho, the Filipino victim was identified as Marie January Gallardo, a physical therapist in Oman.

The OFW was on board a Dubai-bound bus with 30 people when it collided with a sign board attached to barrier.

An investigation showed that the bus took the wrong lane and was reportedly going beyond the speed limit.

A total of 17 passengers, including Gallardo, were killed in the accident while several others were injured. 

The Philippine Consulate in Dubai said it would help in repatriating the OFW's remains back to the Philippines. —NB, GMA News
