US Embassy cancels visa interviews until May 31 due to ECQ

The US Embassy in the Philippines announced the cancellation of all visa interviews for immigrant and nonimmigrant visas until May 31 due to the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) imposed in response to the COVID-19 threat, according to a report on GMA News' 24 Oras News Alert on Sunday.

The embassy said visa services will resume but it cannot give a date at this time.

After ECQ is lifted, visa applicants may reschedule their appointments by calling the embassy's call center at +63 (2) 7792-8988 and +63 (2) 8548-8223, or by booking on the online appointment system at ustraveldocs.com/ph.

The embassy said rescheduling the appointment is free.

The visa application fees would also be valid for one year.
