Recoveries of COVID-19 infected Pinoys abroad now at 879 —DFA
Another Filipino overseas has defeated the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the total number of recoveries to 879, the Department of Foreign Affairs announced Sunday.

The number of Filipinos abroad who tested positive for the virus, meanwhile, reached 2,523 with one new infection. Of the number, 1,350 are undergoing treatment.
On the other hand, the death toll also climbed to 294 with three new fatalities.
Also, the DFA noted that the few cases added to the tally could be because only some countries in Europe and the Middle East reported on the status of Filipinos abroad over the weekend.
No new reports were received from the Americas and Asia and the Pacific, the DFA added.
Europe still had the most COVID-19 positive Filipinos at 785, while Middle East/Africa followed with 720.
Meanwhile, the Asia Pacific Region still had the fewest number of infections with 458 and the highest number of recoveries at 327.
