43 more Filipinos abroad recover from COVID-19 —DFA
Forty-three additional Filipinos overseas have recovered from COVID-19, raising the total number of recoveries to 6,220, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Thursday.
The number of Filipinos abroad who contracted COVID-19, meanwhile, climbed to 10,097 with one new infection.
The death toll remained at 757.

The Middle East/Africa remained the region with the highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad with 6,975 cases, including 476 deaths and 4,164 recoveries.
Europe followed with 1,166 infections, including 95 fatalities and 803 recoveries.
In the Asia Pacific Region, 1,158 Filipinos were infected with the illness. Of the number, eight have died, while 799 have recovered.
The Americas, meanwhile, recorded 798 cases with 178 fatalities and 454 recoveries.
“The DFA shall continue to keep track of the status of Filipinos abroad and stands ready to assist and facilitate repatriations, whenever possible,” the department said. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
