DFA: 31 more Filipinos abroad sick with COVID-19

The Department of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday reported 31 new cases of COVID-19 among Filipinos overseas, raising the total tally to 18,301.
The death toll rose to 1,145 with four new fatalities, while total recoveries remained at 11,220.
So far, there are 5,936 patients undergoing treatment for the disease.
The Middle East/Africa still had the highest number of COVID-19-positive Filipinos at 10,443, including 5,893 recoveries and 747 deaths.
The Asia Pacific Region followed with 3,546 cases including 2,407 recoveries and 29 deaths.
In Europe, a total of 3,355 cases have been recorded, 130 of which have died and 2,298 have recovered.
Moreover, in the Americas, 957 Filipinos have been infected with the viral disease. A total of 622 people have recovered, while 239 have died. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/RSJ, GMA News
