3 more Filipinos abroad contract COVID-19 –DFA
The Department of Foreign Affairs on Sunday reported three new cases of COVID-19 among Filipinos overseas, raising the total tally to 18,540.
The DFA said the death toll rose to 1,160 with one new fatality, while total recoveries remained at 11,349.
So far, there are 6,031 patients undergoing treatment for the disease.
The Middle East/Africa still had the highest number of COVID-19-positive Filipinos at 10,465, including 5,912 recoveries and 758 deaths.
The Asia Pacific Region followed with 3,704 cases including 2,495 recoveries and 29 deaths.
In Europe, a total of 3,388 cases have been recorded, 130 of whom have died and 2,317 have recovered.
Moreover, in the Americas, 983 Filipinos have been infected with the viral disease. A total of 625 people have recovered, while 243 have died. — DVM, GMA News
