DFA: 85 more Filipinos abroad catch COVID-19
Eighty-five more Filipinos abroad have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the tally to 20,747, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Saturday.
The DFA also announced that total recoveries were recorded at 12,234 while the death toll remained at 1,227.
Meanwhile, 7,286 cases remained active.

Based on data from the DFA, there are a total of 4,468 confirmed cases in Asia and the Pacific Region with 1,699 patients undergoing treatment. Recoveries and fatalities in the region were recorded at 2,736 and 33, respectively.
Meanwhile, 11,741 Filipinos have tested positive in the Middle East or Africa. Of this, 4,523 are active cases, 6,398 have recovered, and 820 have died.
Europe has also reported 3,552 confirmed cases with 949 patients undergoing treatment. The region has recorded 2,473 recoveries and 130 fatalities.
In the Americas, a total of 986 Filipinos have tested positive with 115 active cases. A total of 627 patients have recovered while 244 have died. -MDM, GMA News
