Returning Pinoys urged to register at One Health Pass portal

The Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) on Monday called on Filipinos going to the Philippines to register with OneHealthPass online portal to ease the process of mandatory COVID-19 testing and quarantine requirements.

BOQ director  Roberto Salvador, Jr. said Filipinos arriving via international flights should log in at onehealthpass.com.ph and fill out the corresponding form three days before travelling to the Philippines to generate a transaction number.

A day prior to boarding the flight to the Philippines, the passenger will be required to fill out an  electronic health declaration checklist and will be given a QR code.

"When they arrive in the Philippines, the Bureau of Quarantine will check the QR code. The system in getting clearance from us is paperless," Salvador said.

Under existing protocol, returning Filipinos from overseas are subjected to 10-day facility quarantine, with the RT-PCR COVID-19 testing to be done on the seventh day.

Those who tested positive will receive medical attention, while those who tested negative are required to finish the remaining four days of the 14-day quarantine period at home.

Their LGU of destination will then be informed of their impending arrival status obtained via the One Health Pass system.

"From start to finish, they will have a safe journey," he said.

"As for those who are not familiar with online logins needed for his, the airline staff will be of assistance," he added.—LDF, GMA News
