DMW, OWWA provide cash assistance to 5 OFW repatriates


The Department of Migrant Workers provided P30,000 in assistance to each of five overseas Filipino Worker repatriates, the DMW said in a statement on Saturday.

“In cooperation with the government’s service caravan, the DMW is providing its full menu of services during the event including pre-employment orientation, job placement and facilitation, provision of legal services, assistance to OFW members, and reintegration support services,” the statement read.

The Overseas Worker’s Welfare Agency also provided P1 million to recipients of the “Tulong Puso Program.”

The assistance was distributed through the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF), a project of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. To bring essential services closer to underserved communities in the PH. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
