A popular Filipino restaurant in Los Angeles is in need of financial help after it and two other businesses were hit by burglars on Tuesday (PH time).

The establishments are located in Historic Filipinotown, a neighborhood also known as HiFi.

In a post on Instagram, nonprofit organization SoCal Filipinos said among those hit by the burglars was Dollar Hits Pinoy Street Food, a Filipino establishment once featured on a Netflix show.

Dollar Hits is owned by Elvira Chan or Tita Elvie, who according to SoCal Filipinos is  a "main staple of the 'HiFi' community for many decades."

"I worked hard for this and for my staff," Chan said in a report on Good Day LA about the burglary.

A separate report on Fox 11 said the burglars were able to cart away one of Dollar Hits' cash registers containing cash and damaged another one.

The burglary was reported to 911 by a homeless man named Edmond Remijio who witnessed the incident.

Dollar Hits has been featured on the Netflix series "Street Food: USA."

SoCal Filipinos said a fundraiser is being conducted for Dollar Hits and the other businesses affected by the burglary.

"We want to help them out during this difficult time by lessening the burden during the holidays," the group said on Instagram.

The other businesses victimized by the burglars were Mom's Bakery and LA Beauty.   —KBK, GMA Integrated News
