Marcos urges OFWs to make use of gov't programs, projects for them

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. urged overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to make use of the projects and programs being implemented by the government to ensure their welfare.

Umaasa po akong susulitin ninyo at gagamitin nang wasto ang mga benepisyong ito,'' Marcos said in his speech at the OFW Family Day 2023.

(There's a lot of projects in the pipeline and we will still improve the projects that are already being implemented. I am hoping that you will use these projects and benefits.)

(As you work hard abroad for a better future, we will do everything in the government to improve the living condition in the Philippines so that when you come home, you will see changes in our country.)

The President guaranteed OFWs that his administration would exert all measures that will protect their welfare and those that will be beneficial for them.

Marcos mentioned some of his administration's projects such as the One Repatriation Command Center that allots a hotline for the OFWs' concerns.

The President also told OFWs the Livelihood Development Assistance Program, the Balik Pinay Balik Hanap-buhay, the Financial Awareness Seminar-Small Business Management Training, and the Enterprise Development Loan Program, which could all assist OFWs who have decided to return and stay in the country.

Aside from that, Marcos also honored OFWs for their sacrifices and contributions for the country.

(To our OFWs who always show hard work and strength, you are the real example of the new Filipino workers.
