PH Embassy in Israel reminds Filipinos of Home Front Command Guidelines
The Philippine Embassy in Israel over the weekend reminded Filipinos in Gaza to adhere to guidelines put in place in areas under yellow alert, which will be in effect until Monday evening.
In an advisory, the embassy said the guidelines will be strictly implemented from 6:30 a.m. on August 25 until 6 p.m. on August 26, 2024, as there has been no indication of progress in the ceasefire and talks.
The guidelines will be in place in areas under yellow alert as declared by the Home Front Command — North Golan Area, South Golan Area, Confrontation Line, Upper Galilee, Lower Galilee, Center Galilee, Beit She’an Valley, HaAmakim, HaMifratz, HaCarmel, Menashe, Sharon, and the Dan Area.
The guidelines indicate that gatherings and services can only be up to 30 people outdoors and up to 300 people indoors. Work and educational activities are permitted to operate indoors or an area where they can reach a protected space.
This comes after 50 people were killed in Israeli military strikes in Gaza on Saturday. A Palestinian official said the talks in Cairo have not made any progress, and that Israel is insisting on keeping eight positions along the Philadelphi corridor.
